Tom Bevoort has been working with Nederlands Dans Theater since 1978, initially as head of the light department for Nederlands Dans Theater I, and from 1995 as the technical director of Nederlands Dans Theater. From September 2008 to August 2011, he assumed a new role at Nederlands Dans Theater as the ‘Executive Advisor Technical Affairs and New Theater Building.

Bevoort has created lighting designs for choreographers such as Jiří Kylián, Paul Lightfoot/Sol León, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, and Medhi Walerski. He has exclusively served as the lighting designer for the creations of choreographer duo Paul Lightfoot and Sol León for over 22 years. Currently, he operates his own business as a Lighting Designer and Advisor in Theatre, Light, and Technique
