The production inspired by Caravaggio is rooted in a fascination not only with his painting, but also with the mystery surrounding his life. The creators do not attempt to recreate scenes from his canvases; instead, they focus on what is most essential in them: the tension of bodies, the intensity of gestures, and the physicality of the figures. These “vibrations” and tensions become the starting point for the choreography.

The musical layer, prepared by maestro Bruno Moretti, is based on themes by Claudio Monteverdi — Caravaggio’s contemporary. Moretti expands them into a symphonic form, giving the Baroque material a contemporary, fuller sonic space.

The result is a production that does not reconstruct Caravaggio, but interprets his way of looking at the body and emotion, translating it into the language of dance and music.
