Katarzyna Augustyn
A graduate of the General Ballet School in Gdańsk in the class of Luba Bakhareva. Winner of the 3rd prize on the 12th Wojciech Wiesiołłowski National Dance Competition in Gdańsk. Participant of 3rd National Ballet Competition “The Best Graduate of 2004” in Szczecin. She received the scholarship of the Ministry of Culture for artistic achievements.
She has been associated with Stanisław Moniuszko Poznań Opera House Since 2004, where she performed as a coryphée since 2006. In 2014 she was promoted to ballet soloist.
Essential solo parts: Odette / Odile in “Swan Lake” (K. Grave), Sylphide in “La Sylphide” (A. Bournonville), Waltz Girl in “Serenade” (G. Balanchine), “Four Last Songs” (R. van Dantzig), “Creation of the World” (W. Scholz).
