Szymanowski and Pergolesi - Cardim and Clug. Two moving choreographic interpretations of "Stabat Mater". From suffering and mourning to the affirmation of life. From breath-holding loss to accepting what fate brings.
"I research the topics of helplessness, loss and finding the strength to keep moving" - says Daniela Cardim, the choreographer of the first part of the performance. With Szymanowski's composition, she accompanies every woman who lost a loved one. According to Edward Clug, who is responsible for the second part of the performance, Pergolesi's "Stabat Mater" is a hymn in honour of women, where tenderness and delicacy are combined with dedication and devotion.
"Stabat Mater" by Daniela Cardim and Edward Clug is a present-day performance.
