Dominika Nakielna
Biogram
Graduated with honours from the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, where she studied choral conducting under professor Marek Gandecki. In 2019-2023, she was a second conductor for the Alla Fine choir. Since September 2023, she has been an assistant conductor for Skowronki Girls’ Choir. She is a member of the organising group for the Stefan Stuligrosz Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music (GPPCh).
She participated in conducting masterclasses with Brady Allred, Raul Talmar, Jan Schumacher, Yuval Weinberg, Erik Westberg, Friederike Woebcken, among others. In 2023, she actively participated in the 22nd European Academy for Choral Conductors in Italy organised by Feniarco. During the courses and competitions she got a chance to work with Cantanima Choir, Chamber Choir Ireland, Choir of The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, State Choir Vilnius, Paderewski Chamber Choir of the I.J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, The Feichtinum Choir of the Karol Lipiński Music Academy in Wrocław, Chopin University Chamber Choir in Warsaw, Girls’ Choir of the Jerzy Kurczewski Poznań Choir School, Vocal Group at the Conducting Institute of the Academy of Music in Poznań, among others.
Winner of the 2nd prize and the award for the best interpretation of a piece by Karol Szymanowski at the 18th Stanisław Kulczyński National Competition for Choral Conductors and a semi-finalist st the 4th Juozas Naujalis International Competition for Choral Conductors. She received the Scholarship of the President of the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań (2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023), Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2022) and the Noël Minet Fund Scholarship granted by the European Choral Association (2023).
