There are some who say that we should change the name of the choir to make it more friendly. But they do not know that the choir has been functioning under this name since 2015. Also, it probably did not cross their minds that the name comes from one of Stanisław Moniuszko’s songs. A song which became the anthem of the group. And they definitely have no idea how pleasant it is to begin a message with: “Ladies and Gentlemen, our dearest Old Men and Women!”, regardless of whether it is about a change in the meetings schedule, or a performance on the theatre stairs. But we know all this. We also know that the choir members have no age, that they love their conductor – Grzegorz Wierus, and that they simply would not let us change this name.
