Val Elvis

Elvis Val

Born in Bilbao, Spain. Elvis Val trained and graduated from the John Cranko School in Stuttgart, Germany. His engagements include Victor Ullate Ballet in Madrid (1999-2001) and as a soloist in Hesse State Theatre Wiesbaden (2001-2007) and State Oper of Hannover (2007-2015). He has performed works by, John Cranko, Willian Forsythe, George Balanchine, Johan Inger, Nacho Duato, Hans Van Mannen, Stjin Celis, John Neumeier, Auguste Bournonville, Goyo Montero among others. His repertoire roles include Prince in The Nutcracker, Prince in Cinderella, James in La Sylphide, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Otello in Otello, Pulcinella in Pulcinella, Bluebird in Sleeping Beauty.. and many others from neoclassical and contemporary dance. He took part in different Ballet Galas in Japan, Spain, Germany and Poland. Since 2016, Elvis Val works as a guest ballet teacher, choreographer and assistant choreographer. As a guest ballet teacher has worked for companies such as Stuttgart Ballet, State Ballet Berlin, Ballet de l ́Opera de Lyon, Alonso King Lines Ballet, Béjart Ballet Lausanne, Basel Ballet, Leipzig Ballet, Ballet Opera Graz, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Aterballetto, State Theater Gärtnerplatz, Ballet de Lorraine, State Theatre Saarbrücken, Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company, Thuringian State Ballet, National Theater Manheim among others.
In 2018 he was awarded the Dance Pedagogy title (Vaganova) at Tanzloft (Berlin) with Honours.
