Oliver Haller (born 1967, Flensburg, Germany) studied costume and fashion design at the Fashion Academy Charles Montaigne in Amsterdam and became a master scenographer at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. After his studies he worked in musicals for Joop van den Ende Theater productions, later as an designer’s assistant for the Salzburg Festival, opera director Peter Sellars and The Dutch Opera. Since May 2003 he is the head of the costume department at Dutch National Ballet (Het Nationale Ballet). He also works as a freelance costume designer. For Krzysztof Pastor he designed Moving Rooms, Sheherazade and Dumbarton Dances. For Ted Brandsen he designed Body and for Juanjo Arques amongst others Minos, Consequence, Blink and Homo Ludens and in 2018 Transcription of Color.

The last 10 years he has designed a large number of ballets for the Junior Company at the Dutch National Ballet for a number of choreographers. He was one of the founding fathers of the Dutch master school for tailoring (Meesteropleiding  Coupeur) and worked at  the board of advisors until 2023. In 2022 he was responsible for the re-design of Hans van Manen’s Four Schumann Pieces in Vienna.
